Don’t you love it when students bring interesting things to class and share their interest with their classmates???!!!!

Over a two hour period, we took the opportunity to analise the unit that was coming to its end. We watched “Epic” and we had a good reflection on the concepts covered throughout the unit, such as connection and perspective. Then we role-played some family situations and discovered that we were having a lot of fun doing it!

In class, we discovered that 3-D shapes were constructed using 2-D shapes. We made large shapes in school and took some home for extra practice. Here are some of the shapes we created. blanca 2 (960x720) blanca1 (960x720) Gabriel (1024x576) Leila 1 (320x240) Leila 2 (320x240) usayd (1024x768) tjasa (768x1024) ryan vid 1 ryan vid 2

Today, we celebrated the Hispanic Day in the school. The students had a great time dancing and playing games with songs from different Hispanic countries. Here they are, dancing to a South American rhythm, while trying to hold a Ping-Pong ball amongst the two of them.

They also hand painted their own Indian portraits with beautiful colours!

While exploring our family and cultural identity, the grade 2 students brought in some very interesting artifacts from their homes.

We did a formative assessment on our 2-D shapes by making 2-D Monsters!!

We each chose our own shapes to use and we also decorated each monster individually.

We had lots of fun!

We have been working very hard to learn our different plural endings.

Here are the websites that we used in class for you to use at home for practice.
